Mini Marathons have been a DanceBlue tradition for many years. A vital part of the DanceBlue family, high school students give their time, resources and hearts to the kids and families of the DanceBlue clinic. Most do so without ever meeting the kids who benefit from their selfless giving.

This past weekend, Lexington Catholic (Lexington, KY), Lexington Christian Academy (Lexington, KY) and Apollo High School (Owensboro, KY) held DanceBlue mini marathons. Collectively, 840 students gathered together across the commonwealth to stand together against pediatric cancer and celebrate over $130,000 raised towards the University of Kentucky DanceBlue 2017 fundraising total.

Each high school organized and implemented a mini marathon complete with a line dance, games for each hour, and a memorial hour to celebrate the kids in the clinic. These students went above and beyond by inviting elementary and middle school students to participate as well.
